The Guan Yin Oracle is popular Chinese divination. The oracle of Guanyin, Guan Yin or Kuan Yin has always been treated with special reverence and gratitude, because divination by means of this oracle implies an appeal to the spirit, the deity Guan Yin, known in the East as the goddess of mercy and compassion. In Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese mythology, Guan Yin appears as a woman - the patroness of women, female strength. But the image of Guan Yin also goes back to the Buddhist bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara or assistant to the Buddha Amitabha.
